Dr. Frei's PhD thesis is titled IT controls over financial reporting - Theoretical analysis and practical design on the case study of Crealogix Inc. (IT-Kontrollen in der Finanzberichterstattung - Theoretische Analyse und praktische Gestaltung am Fallbeispiel der Crealogix AG), and was performed at the Institute of Accounting and Controlling , at the University of Zurich . The thesis has been published by Schulthess and is available here .

FSD develops software (mainly freeware) for several operating systems:

• Unix / Linux
• Symbian OS
• Windows

Currently there are three software products available:

• Webalizer Xtended: A fork of the popular Webalizer, including several improvements and bugfixes (free software/ GNU General Public License).
• PhoNetInfo: A software for retrieving detailed phone and network information on Symbian S60 3rd edition mobile phones (freeware).
• Intermaster: Prevents (un)intended manipulations in the configuration of the Microsoft Internet Explorer (shareware / 30-day evaluation version).
